Actress Laura Cardoso, 95, was one of the last people to talk to actress Léa Garcia, who died on Tuesday (15), aged 90, after a heart attack. Garcia would receive the Oscarito trophy that night at the Gramado Film Festival (RS), alongside Laura.
On social media, the veteran artist mourned the loss. “Still not understanding what happened. We were together all these days in Gramado, smiling and having fun, like in the old days”, she published.
Presenter Manoel Soares also took a stand. “It hurts. How it hurts to read this. Thank you for the life you lived and taught us to live.” José Loreto called Léa “giant and eternal”, while Drica Moraes said that the moment represented deep sadness.
“Very sad, my condolences. Great loss”, scored Bianca Bin. Actor Lázaro Ramos published photos with Léa and thanked her for the years of friendship and learning.
“I don’t know how to say goodbye, Ms. Léa. It hurts. Your vitality, your strength, your joviality and your talent have always been inspiring. Being able to work with you was a dream nurtured for years and fulfilled with much celebration”, he wrote. Both worked together in Mister Brau (2017).
