The Swedish SKF giant, which specializes in the production of bearings, confirmed to AFP that three of its workers were killed in an attack that hit its factory last Monday night in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk.

“It is with great regret that we confirm the death of three of our employees in this attack,” SKF spokesman Carl Bjernstam said via email, adding that they are currently assessing the extent of the damage caused by the attack.

According to Ukrainian officials, Russia fired large scale air attack in the regions of Lviv, in western Ukraine, and Volyn, in the northwestern part of the country, resulting in at least three people losing their lives and many others being injured.

Three people have died and many have been hospitalized in Lutsk after the company was hit, Yury Pohulyaiko, governor of the Volyn region, whose administrative center is Lutsk, said in a Telegram post earlier.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced at noon that the Russian army had destroyed military industrial sites in Ukraine during the night. “Last night, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched targeted strikes (…) on key military and industrial enterprises of the Kiev regime,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
