“Here is the Balkans, it’s not a joke” is the title of the event, which borrows the words of the great Greek painter and poet Nikos Eggonopoulos, while the members of the Organization discovered the cultural beacons that connect these five countries.

The same day will be followed by a great concert by Vassilis Papakonstantinou, who is touring Greece to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Greek song this year, but especially for the evening in Agios Achilleios, he has chosen a unique program, presenting the best he has performed in his career: Theodorakis, Loizos, Mikroutsikos, Livaditis, Karyotakis, Kavvadias, Nikolas Asimos, Costas Tripolitis, Alkis Alkaios, Stamatis Mesimeris, Odysseas Ioannou, Giannis Negrepontis, Lina Dimopoulou, George Kleftogiorgos and many others.

The project is very difficult and in order to be carried out, as always and this is the case this year, the help of the government, the entire political world, the Army, the Police, the Fire Department and the officials of all of Western Macedonia is needed,” the Organization’s announcement states. .

Three-day program of events

The organizers emphasize the opportunity for the Greeks to visit the Prespa lakes again this year, underlining that “another Greece awaits them there, untouched”. As stated in the announcement, “magical landscapes await them that transform the misery of the borders into a blessed love for nature.
