The Festival of Religious Music of Patmos opens a new cycle as an artistic institution and enters its 21st year of organization, with the main aim of highlighting the art of religious music. Choirs and musical ensembles, voices and musical instruments will create a bridge of culture, rendering the multiplicity of music through the prism of faith and religiosity.

The events will take place in the outdoor area of the Holy Cave of the Apocalypse, from August 30 to September 3, every night at 9:00 PM with free entry.

With the distinctive title “Light, sounds and words”, the festival transforms the island of Patmos into a beacon of culture, with the beauty of religious music shaping words and sounds into landscapes that travel the soul and mind of the listeners. The artistic direction of the 21st Festival of Religious Music of Patmos is shared, for one more year, by the acclaimed musicians Tania Sikelianou and Sotiris Despotis. They are flanked by the “Kleida” Chorus, the women’s “Arts” Choir under the direction of Maria Michalopoulou, as well as the acclaimed musicians Nikos Charizanos, Kostas Mantzoros, Anastasios Stellas, Claude and Odile Delangle, Eftychia Veniotas, George Lygeridis, the Stathis Skandalidis and Marianna Spyrakou.
