Kayky Brito: Police have image of actor almost hit by another car before accident

Actor Kayky Brito was almost hit by another car moments before the accident he suffered in the early hours of last Saturday (2). Civil Police say they have images of previous moments when the artist crosses the road for the first time – on the way to the other side, he was almost run over by another car, which braked sharply right in front of him. The information was given by delegate Ângelo Lages, head of the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca), to the F5.

When Brito tries to return to the kiosk, the second time he crosses the street, he is hit by the car driven by Diones da Silva. According to the incident report, the driver claims that Kayky “suddenly crossed the road running”, giving little time for reaction. He tried to leave left to right, as a way to prevent the collision, which was not possible.

“The victim was hit by the front left part of the vehicle and went to the ground with the impact”, says an excerpt from the bulletin, which completes with the requirements requested by the police authority.

This Monday (4), the Civil Police continue with the investigations and collected the first testimonies. The passenger of the vehicle, who was a ride on an app, told the police that the car was at low speed and the actor appeared by surprise. Presenter Bruno de Luca, who was with Kayky at a kiosk in front of the street, will testify on Wednesday (6).

In addition, other diligences will help in the investigation of the case. According to the Police, the car has images recorded by an internal camera, which have already been collected and will be verified. Authorities have 30 days to complete the inquiry.

Kayky Brito has been hospitalized in serious condition at the Copa D’Or Hospital, in Rio de Janeiro, since last Saturday.
