The presenter Bruno de Luca testified to the Civil Police, this Wednesday afternoon (6), about Kayky Brito being run over. Before entering the police station, in Barra da Tijuca, De Luca demonstrated that he was shaken by what happened and avoided going into details. The statement, in full, was obtained by the F5 and points out that he and the actor were having fun before the incident.
On the day of the accident, at dawn last Saturday (2), De Luca told the police that the two had met at his house before to talk about creating a theatrical play, and that they had not consumed alcohol. Then, around 10 pm on Friday (1), they left for the kiosk located at the height of post 6, in Barra da Tijuca, in the presenter’s car.
There, they “drank beer and a few drinks with alcohol”, says the statement, in addition to not having used any other substance. De Luca says that Kayky said goodbye to him and that he turned his back, not knowing “what the victim went to do towards his vehicle”. The presenter claims to have heard the impact noise, but not the braking or a person being thrown into the air.
He also says that he went into despair because he “is terrified of accidents”, not realizing that the victim was the actor. So, soon after, he left the place without his car, and he doesn’t know how he got home “due to the trauma he suffered”. Upon waking up, he sent a message to Kayky, as he believed that the actor would also have witnessed what happened, but without imagining that he was the one hit by the vehicle.
Only the next day, around 9 am on Saturday morning, De Luca says he was at the airport when he received a call from Sthefany Brito, telling him about the accident.
