Kayky Brito, who was run over last Saturday (2), on one of the main roads in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro, had a new medical report released this Saturday (9). The actor remains sedated and on mechanical ventilation, according to the document signed by the medical team accompanying the artist at Hospital Copa D’Or, in Copacabana, south of the city.
“Copa D’Or Hospital informs that the patient Kayky Fernandes Brito remains sedated and on mechanical ventilation, with his clinical condition under control and without changes in the last 24 hours”, says the document.
In recent days, Kayky has improved, according to information from the hospital itself. On Wednesday (6), the actor showed “signs of evolutionary improvement” and, on Thursday (7), he continued with a “satisfactory response to treatment”. This Friday (8), the hospital unit claimed that Kayky had a “clinical condition under control”.
Earlier, Diones da Silva, the driver who ran over Kayky, used social media to thank people for the support he has received due to the collision. He also announced that he intends to donate part of the amount received in a virtual car repair fundraiser to charity.
“God has already given me what I needed to be able to start my life over. So, what happened, what will happen, I want to overflow into the lives of other people. Those who need it too, just like I needed it. That’s my desire from my heart”, said the driver.
