Singer Luísa Sonza announced on Mais Você the end of her four-month relationship with Chico Veiga, known as Chico Moedas. According to her, there was a betrayal.

Live and on national television, the singer read a statement on her cell phone about the betrayal that had occurred to her and became very emotional.

“It’s not about an isolated act, it’s about a structure, a history that repeats itself (…). It’s unbearable that betrayal, the breach of agreements, respect, zeal, care, continues to be normalized. A one-off error. Only Anyone who has ever been betrayed knows the pain they feel, because they call it a specific error of doubt”, she said in an excerpt of the text.

“My love, unfortunately you messed with the wrong woman. Today I break this cycle for my mother, my aunts… Today I choose myself, even if it hurts, even though I still love you. Today I protect myself and I don’t protect you, because you , that night, in that bar, you didn’t protect me. Today I say goodbye to you for me and for all of us. I’m going to live love, it just won’t be with you.”

Luísa had written a song for her then boyfriend. But to Ana Maria, she said that she made the song with the thought that people would respect love.

“I got married much less than four months ago, I didn’t make music because I didn’t know how. I wanted people to respect love. No one knows the intensity of love. Look inside yourselves and see if you are capable of falling in love with this intensity and giving yourself that intensity to the other.”
