Sir Michael Caine (Michael Caine) admitted in a recent interview with the Telegraph that his new film “The Great Escaper” with the late Glenda Jackson (Glenda Jackson), could be the last of his career.

“I’m 90 years old now, I can’t walk well and all that. In a way, I have now retired,” said the award-winning actor.

“The Great Escaper” is based on the true story of 89-year-old Bernard Jordan, a World War II veteran who sneaks out of a nursing home to attend the 70th anniversary of the Normandy Landings.

“I was so glad I did,” Kane continued. “I really liked the character of Bernard. I think it was incredible and it’s so beautifully written… I had a great time,” she noted.

Speaking about the positive side of the 9th decade he is going through, he characteristically said that “no one expects you to do much and people do things for you”. On the contrary, “there is so much that disappears from your life. You can’t run, you can’t play football and gradually you realize that you are getting closer to death.”

However, giving the famous life account, the beloved star emphasizes that “I lived the best possible life that I could think of” with “the best possible wife and the best possible family.”

According to EW, “The Great Escaper” is expected in UK cinemas on October 6.
