Earlier this month, The Rolling Stones announced details of their upcoming 24th album, ‘Hackney Diamonds’
Keith Richards said the new, substance-free lifestyle is “a unique experience” for him. In a new interview with the Telegraph, Mr guitarist for the Rolling Stones he said he’s “trying to enjoy being clean,” now that he’s given up drugs and cigarettes.
“I quit smoking in 2019Richards explained. “I haven’t touched a cigarette since. I quit heroin in 1978. I quit cocaine in 2006he added.
“I still like a drink now and then – because I’m not going to heaven any time soon – but other than that, I’m trying to enjoy being clean. It is a unique experience for me“, he said.

The 79-year-old musician of the legendary rock group also spoke about the fact that he is growing up, noting: “I am blessed, perhaps. So far, I don’t have any real problems growing up. There are some horrible things you might see in the future, but you have to get there».
