After being arrested for illegal possession of a weapon and being released on R$4,000 bail, Diego Gasques, known as Diego Alemão, spontaneously admitted himself to a rehabilitation clinic.
This is what Jeffrey Chiquini, lawyer for the former BBB, says. According to him, Alemão is suffering from deep depression and has been using chemical substances for a few months.
“In a moment of great pain, we inform everyone that Diego Gasques has just been spontaneously admitted to a rehabilitation clinic. We ask for everyone’s understanding for the fateful incident.
Diego, unfortunately, has been suffering from an illness that has been affecting many people these days,” he wrote in a note posted on his Instagram profile.
The ex-brother, winner of the 2007 edition, said upon leaving the police station that he has had the weapon for years and that it is duly registered. According to the Military Police, teams from the 23rd BPM (Leblon) were called to check the presence of an apparently altered man on the corner of Visconde de Pirajá and Gomes Carneiro streets, in Ipanema.
In 2020, he had already been arrested after being involved in a traffic accident in Curitiba. He was charged with drunk driving, contempt and bodily harm.
