Sandy and Lucas Lima spoke about the end of their marriage on Altas Horas (Globo) this Saturday (30). Presenter Serginho Groisman explained that the program was recorded last Tuesday (26), just one day after the separation was announced, and thanked them both for their professionalism.

“It’s not an easy thing to do because there’s a lot of… everyone… doesn’t even know how to behave. We’re like, ‘my god, and now, everyone’s looking at us, waiting for what we’re going to do. do, what we’re going to say’, it’s weird”, said Sandy.

“But there is a friendship here, an intimacy, a love of 24 years. That will never change,” he said. “For me and him, it’s not strange at all for us to be here. We love each other very much, we are best friends. And that’s how we will continue to be. We have a beautiful fruit of this love, the materialization of this love which is our 9-year-old son, who is the priority. We are taking care of him.”

Lucas, in turn, said that the ex-couple was already separated when the announcement was made. “We are talking and it is a decision that we made a long time ago,” he said. “And we needed to organize ourselves internally and organize the [nosso filho] Theo, structuring our family so that we have the resources to bring this news to the rest of the world, which is an extremely uncomfortable thing to do, it’s an intimate thing, but we understand that there is a time when it It has to be from the world too.”

“It was a long process, with a lot of conversation, in which we discovered a different affection”, he assessed. “A couple who have children never separate. We are giving new meaning to love, and we are doing well. It’s been a month or so.”

Sandy made a point of highlighting that it wasn’t something decided overnight. “We wanted people to know that it wasn’t something decided, it was, that’s it, it was over. It wasn’t anything impulsive,” she said. “We don’t communicate when we make this decision.”

She also complained about speculation about possible betrayal. “People keep speculating, it just gets in the way. It’s very painful. Everything is fine between us. It’s a mature decision between us.”

Lucas also said that they preferred to end the marriage before the affection between them ended. “What we are going through is not uncommon. Many people feel it, but it is very difficult for us to be able to end a relationship in a place like this,” he said. “Usually, people end up needing to take and wear down this relationship until they get angry and fight, and use that as fuel to make that decision.”

“We didn’t let it get to this point, we did it at the right time”, agreed Sandy. The singer also said that this does not mean it was easy: “It’s very difficult, we suffer, we cry.”

They also said that the professional partnership continues and, in fact, that Lucas will participate in the tour that Sandy is starting in Europe. “Work remains and family remains, above all,” she said.
