Idris Elba he turned to psychotherapy to help him get rid of the “his unhealthy habits”, which burden his lifestyle. Appearing on “Changes with Annie Macmanus” podcastthe British actor revealed that he saw a psychologist last year.

“It’s a lot,” he said – initially – himself. “In my treatment, I was thinking a lot about how I can change and it had become an obsession. It’s not because I don’t like myself or anything, it’s just because I have some unhealthy habits that have really set in. And I work in an industry that rewards me for these unhealthy habits.”

In fact, the famous actor described himself as a workaholic and stated that his love of staying busy with projects had a negative impact on his well-being.

As he pointed out: “Nothing too extreme is good. Everything needs balance. This I had to learn and adapt to. I’ve thought about this a lot and surprisingly a lot of what happens to us has its ‘roots’ in our childhood,” added the “Luther” actor.

The famous actor, who is one of the stars gracing the Pirelli calendar 2024, said he wants to find activities that help him relax, but admitted that his “trap” is that he thinks work is relaxing. “The thing is, the things that make me relax end up being work,” the actor added.
