A new photographic exhibition of the group “Focus On The Soul” presents the Cultural Center of EYDAP Employees
The Cultural Center of EYDAP Employees invites you to the opening of the Photography Exhibition “Save The Water” of the photography group “Focus On The Soul” with speaker Ypatia Kornarou, which will take place on Thursday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m., at Gallery TAF/the art foundation.
The focus of the report is to communicate the risk posed by the effects of climate change on the qualitative and quantitative adequacy of water. Fears and concerns about the sustainability of the planet are multiplying more and more. The threat of dehydration as well as general water pollution is a vital issue that concerns us all. Art must transmit messages that awaken and mobilize actions in the direction of the collective good in order to save the planet.
“Save The Water”: A few words about the exhibition
The photographic exhibition “Save The Water” becomes a helper of the art and culture quest. From the start to the end of the lessons of this academic year (October 2022-June 2023), the Photography Team “Focus On The Soul” raised a serious issue that concerns the whole planet: “the lack – contamination of water and its importance. The goal was to infuse through art all those stimuli that will trouble modern man and redefine his relationship with water. The planet is sending out a distress signal on many levels. But the “Water Crisis” is an urgent priority. Many are discussing that the next world war will happen because of water scarcity.
Specifically, based on the “Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas” report carried out in 2019, Greece is in 26th place in the global ranking of countries that are already facing problems with a lack of water.
Water is life and man is inextricably linked to it. The human body consists of 60% water and the earth 72%. We can all understand that its qualitative and quantitative adequacy is one of the most important goods for the sustainability of ecosystems. Humanity is called to preserve, defend and realize the seriousness of the situation. Following this, we hope for the mobilization of social awareness which will lead to the limitation of the phenomena of reckless waste and pollution of water resources.
Environmental issues are now part of contemporary art worldwide. We owe it to our artistic creations to channel rescue messages concerning the future of our planet».
