The Saronic Islands of the Attica Region were named Greece’s Top Island Destination for the year 2023 at the renowned international tourism institution World Travel Awards. At the award ceremony held in Vatum, Georgia, they won 1st place in the international public vote, among the other co-nominees (Cyclades, Dodecanese, Ionian Islands, Sporades).

This is an important distinction, as well the “World Travel Awards” are also characterized as the “Oscars” of tourismare a long-standing and internationally recognized institution and recognized worldwide as the ultimate guarantee of reward and awarding excellence in all the main sectors of the tourism industry.

The selection of the Saronic Islands as the top Greek island destination for 2023, by the public that participated in a related vote, was based on:

• In the quality services provided to visitors by tourism industry professionals at competitive prices,

• In the unique Greek hospitality,

• The ease of access and their proximity to the major urban centers of Athens and Piraeus, which make them ideal choices.
