Known as a person concerned about causes and flags, DJ Alok turned to social media to vent about the war in Israel. The musician got emotional when talking about his father, Juarez Petrillo, who was at the place where he would perform moments before the bombing began.
“My father was at the event, where a huge terrorist massacre took place, which killed more than 260 people there. He was about to perform, when there was a bombing. The event was interrupted and the police started to evacuate”, he began .
According to the DJ, the father managed to get into a car and get out of there. “The car behind, which was with his acquaintances, was shot. My father managed to take shelter in a bunker and was safe,” he commented.
According to Alok’s report, he and his father do not have a close relationship. “I left home more than 15 years ago. Unfortunately, I have little contact with my father. My father plays, he’s a DJ, so he’s always traveling the world, so am I. He doesn’t know where I am, I don’t know where he is either. it is. I found out it was there through the internet”, he said.
From this event onwards, he says, he intends to strengthen family ties. “I even wanted to spend more time with my father. He is making every effort to return to Brazil. All I want now is to hug him, welcome him. But, unfortunately, many people won’t be able to do that”, he commented, crying.
The DJ also took the opportunity to clarify that Petrillo is not the creator of the festival in Israel, but that he was hired to be there. “My father is the creator of a festival called Universo Paralello, which has been taking place in Brazil for over 20 years. It is the largest art, music and alternative culture festival in Latin America,” he explained.
