The Rio de Janeiro Court gave 15 days for the singer Anitta to present evidence in defense of a lawsuit filed by an elderly fan who claims she did not authorize an image of her to be aired in the documentary “Anitta – Made in Honório” . The artist did not comment.
According to TJ-RJ, Anitta said that she had lost the internal circuit files from her home and that this fact would prevent the process from going forward. Therefore, judge Josué de Matos Ferreira determined that this allegation be proven within this period.
According to him, the footage would be “relevant evidence” in the process. In the action, the elderly woman said that she became the target of “several ridicule” due to the way she was presented in the production.
The woman appears in the fifth episode and, as shown in the series, she broke into the singer’s house. In the process, however, the lady says that her entry into the property would have been duly authorized. The scene takes place from the 20th minute of the documentary.
In addition to this case, a dancer named Kelly who appears for a few seconds in the third episode of the same series claims that she did not authorize her appearance and that she did not receive credit. Therefore, she went to court to request R$50,000 in compensation for moral and material damages.
According to Gabriel de Paula Ferreira, the dancer’s lawyer, it doesn’t matter if it was one or two seconds of exposure. “Legally, the fact that causes the damage is the image conveyed. Even the series’ interns received due credit at the end of the project, and my client did not,” he told F5.
