Driver of Kayky Brito’s accident regrets actor’s stance after discharge: ‘Very cold’

Driver Diones Coelho da Silva, who ran over actor Kayky Brito, made a long outburst after feeling that the actor’s family was keeping a certain distance since the incident. In an interview with the website iG, this Wednesday (18), Coelho shared his feelings about looking for a meeting with Kayky after his medical discharge on September 29th.

He revealed that he tried to communicate with the actor, but so far, he has received cold responses and silence. “Kayky didn’t respond to me in the video. I sent him a direct message and he didn’t respond. I already tried to contact him and didn’t hear back. I feel something very cold from there, in terms of being able to see him. I want to give him a hug, I need that to seal and take something out of me”, said Coelho. “Only he and I know what we went through. This trauma that remained. I really want to find him, I would really like to be with him. But it doesn’t depend on me. It depends on them and I feel resistance at the moment.”

The driver also says that he looked for Kayky’s sister, Sthefany Brito, but that she “barely responds to me on WhatsApp”. Even advice was sought, without a clear answer. “Yesterday she replied to me saying that I was going to see Kayky at the right time. I feel very cold about the contact from there to here. Kayky didn’t respond to me at any point. Not even my name was mentioned in the video he posted. He thanked the driver and the driver has a name, Diones Coelho da Silva, hardworking, good person, who just wants to meet him”, he stressed.

After the accident and getting help from internet users in an online fundraiser, Coelho bought a new car with the expectation of continuing as an app driver, in the Uber Black category.
