Singer Zé Vaqueiro was criticized, in recent days, for traveling to Fernando de Noronha on vacation while his youngest son, aged three months, remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Neonatal Hospital, in Fortaleza. In a statement published on Instagram stories this Wednesday (25), the artist decided to address the criticism and clarify the situation.

“What I have to say about these criticisms is that we understand that those on the outside don’t know exactly what we are feeling, nor that Daniel and Nicole asked us these days to be together and strengthen each other”, began the singer.

He recalled that over the last six months, the family has dedicated themselves tirelessly to the care of their youngest, who was born with the congenital condition known as Patau Syndrome. “The result of this is what the doctors have called a miracle. Our Arthur is a warrior and is getting stronger every day. Our prayers are that this improvement will be greater and greater so that he can live alongside his little brothers”, he stated.

Arthur’s parents highlighted that all the family’s attention and dedication were directed to their son, who remains hospitalized in the ICU. “Arthurzinho continued his treatment accompanied by his grandmother, with the support of all our family, friends and the best hospital team we could get. Now, we are returning home after giving our other two children the joy of celebrating their mother’s birthday, the strongest in the universe.”

Zé Vaqueiro and Ingra Soares assured that Arthur is receiving the best treatment available and that he is being cared for by a multidisciplinary team. The singer also made a point of expressing his deep gratitude to the hospital staff, who have been able to spend time with his son, even when he is on tour for work, and monitor Ingra’s day-to-day life at the hospital. “Victory is before us! I believe!”, concluded Zé Vaqueiro, sharing his faith and hope in his son’s continued progress.

The baby, who was born on July 24, was admitted to the ICU due to a congenital malformation resulting from trisomy 13 syndrome. Zé Vaqueiro and Ingra are also parents to Daniel, 3, and Nicole, 13.
