Alimos is a seaside suburb of Athens that stretches between the Ymittos mountain range and the Saronic sea and the Neighborhoods on the plate in SKAI with Dimitris Skarmoutsos, visit it.

This neighborhood has it all – an energy of its own and a distinct identity while its narrow streets hold delicious surprises.

From all day cafes on “squares” and sidewalks, old school pizzerias, classic patisseries with history from other cities, to grocery stores.

On Sunday, October 29 at 4:40 p.m., Dimitris Skarmoutsos and Geitonies in Piato, will tour the south for hot dogs, kourabiedes with pistachios, pizza like before but different and delicatessen grocery.

First stop is “Bakalis”, opened seven years ago by George, who wanted to open a shop with local Greek products. Later he had the idea to add a few small tables, so that customers could try the various delicacies and thus Bakalis was born.

Just across the street is ‘Palet’, a legendary local patisserie made famous for its famous profiteroles. It was opened by Vassilis Kordelidis from Constantinople in the 70s and today it is run by Maria, who belongs to the third generation of the family.

Every self-respecting neighborhood should have a traditional pizzeria. In Alimo this shop is “Pizza Castello”. The recipe is not traditional Italian, but as they say they found it from the cook of a cruise ship.

For the established “break” of the day, we go to the place which, as the owners say, always has holidays, the air of the summer raston is so strong and for all the above they named their shop, “HOLIDAYS”.

When Dimitris returns from the enjoyable walk to Alimos, he prepares salmon with vegetables and noodles and orange pie with yogurt.
