Violations: Nikos Kouris reads “Viral Pneumonia” at the SNFCC Lighthouse
Transgressions, the series of theatrical analogues of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), returns in the 2023-2024 season – for the seventh consecutive year – at the Lighthouse. This year, with the title “Transgressions/Readings”, the series returns to the core of the stage reading and draws inspiration from the Cavafian verse “ideal voices and loved ones”. The series is launched on Sunday 29 October at 16.00 by Nikos Kouris who collaborates with Mario Banousi and reads “Viral Pneumonia”, the only short story that Zisimos Lorentzatos attempted to write. In his short text, although he consciously avoided self-referential confessions, he speaks in the third person about the loneliness of the sick person and about the health adventure he experienced in August 1981.
Sunday 29/9, 16:00

“Elizadeth”, directed by Dimitris Karatzias at Vault
Directed by Dimitris Karatzias and music by Manos Antoniadis, “Elizadeth” is an adaptation of the play “Royals after a dome” by Haris Roma. A crazy comedy and at the same time a caustic comment on the relationships between the actors and performers of a show and the vanity that prevails in the theater world. What happens when the universe conspires to bring the world’s “mistakes” together in one show? When the wrong actors, with the wrong play, in the wrong period, with the wrong director, in the wrong theater, with the wrong sponsor, are forced due to the pandemic to put on an untold “historical” musical by an accidental author?
They play: Christina Sampanikou, Evi Tsafou, Anastasios Christofilopoulos, Dimitra Kollas, Stelios Psaroudakis
Representations: From 28 October 2023 to 28 January 2024. Every Friday and Saturday at 21:15 & Sundays at 18:15
Tickets: €16. Presale: more.com
