Presenter Ana Paula Padrão stated that her husband, Gustavo Diament was discharged from hospital this Wednesday (1). In a post on her Instagram profile, the journalist opened up about the traumas faced by her and her husband after a robbery that resulted in Gustavo’s accident, causing him to fall into a seven-meter ditch.
“Ten days ago, our lives changed. One moment, I was so close to home that I was thinking about the taste of the pizza we used to order on Sunday nights. The next moment, I was driving back on the road, my hands shaking and desperate to get to the place where my husband, riding a motorcycle, had been the victim of a robbery and accident while escaping”, she begins in the text.
“Since then, we have experienced a true rollercoaster of emotions. The traumas – both the physical ones he suffered and the emotional ones that affected both of us – threw us through ups and downs, sometimes in a matter of hours and with the same intensity. Today, we are going home”, added Ana Paula, reporting that the next few weeks will be one of “recovery”, but “optimistic and grateful”.
The journalist also expressed her gratitude for the immense wave of love and solidarity that surrounded them during this challenging period. “Never, in my entire life, have I been hit by such a strong wave of love and solidarity. Since Gustavo’s phone was turned off, there wasn’t a day when I didn’t have dozens and dozens of messages from friends to respond to. There wasn’t a day when he didn’t receive visitors full of affection and good energy.”
