At the end of September, Sandra Annenberg, 55, celebrated 27 years of marriage on paper to Ernesto Paglia. But it’s been 30 years together and for Globo Repórter presenter, time doesn’t seem to have passed so quickly. She believes that there is no ready-made recipe for a marriage to last for years and years, but says that one of the pillars of her relationship with the journalist is mutual admiration.
“We love each other very much. We respect each other, we admire each other and we feel very passionate about each other, we like each other”, he explains. “I look at him and say: ‘He’s a great guy’. I think he also looks at me and sees a cool person to be by his side”, he says in an interview with Quem.
Sandra also talked about feeling calmer with maturity. “Maturity brings tranquility. I’ve reached a point in my life where I’ve tried a lot, I’ve worked a lot and I think now I can relax”, she comments. “Today, I can understand the dimension of everything I did and I am now calmer, less anxious, more at peace with myself, more accepting of myself.”
She also said that she no longer feels hostage to aesthetic pressure. She says she looks in the mirror and everything is fine. “I don’t want to change anything. I don’t want to wear makeup like I used to or wear high heels like I used to. I don’t make so many concessions anymore. I prefer now to be even more the way I am, I always have been, but I think now much more”, he reflects.
