Actress Candace Cameron Bure, 45, told Today in an interview that she and actor Bob Saget (1956–2022) had an argument in their last text messages, just two weeks before the former co-star of the series ” Three is Too Much” passed away on January 9.
“We were going to have dinner. And we got into a little fight. And your flight was delayed. We ended up not having dinner”, said the artist in an excerpt reproduced by the website Page Six. “But in Bob style, the next day he wrote me what would have been pages of text. And he was apologizing, saying he was grumpy and very sorry.”
Cameron says that during the conversation, the actor compared himself to his mother, Dolly, who passed away in 2014. “He said, ‘Now I feel even worse. I was so wrong. You are my favorite person on Earth and I acted like Dolly. I was getting ready to catch a late flight and I got annoyed.'”
“Bob went on and on in the text. And he said at the end, ‘I love you more for the trouble you’re giving me, if that’s even possible,” recalled the actress, who played DJ Tanner, daughter of Saget’s character in series.
“I wrote back… ‘I could never be mad at you. Roll my eyes at you? Yeah. But never mad,'” she said, adding that she told the actor, “And I love that [você esteja sendo] Dolly. That made me laugh out loud. I loved your mother.”
Saget then replied, “I love you. My mother loved you too.” Cameron further stated that he was afraid to review the text messages he exchanged with Saget, because they were so meaningful. “I’m so scared to open his message and accidentally delete it one day,” she said through tears. “It scares me so much because I never want to lose this.”
Comedian Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Three Is All”, died this Sunday (9), at the age of 65, in Orlando, USA. The death was confirmed by the city’s police department.
