Presenter Ana Hickmann, 42, filed a police report for bodily injury and domestic violence against her husband, Alexandre Correa. The incident occurred on Saturday (11) during her trip to the central police station in Itu (in the interior of São Paulo), where the couple lives, after the Military Police were called because of a fight between them.
The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat confirms that the facts will be investigated by the city police, but says that the details will be preserved due to their nature. In the incident report, however, the presenter of Hoje em Dia (Record) narrates her version of what happened.
The fight would have started around 3:30 pm, when Hickmann was talking to their son in the kitchen at home. Correa did not like the content of the conversation and started an argument, scaring the 10-year-old boy, who ran out of the room.
According to the report contained in the police report, Correa pressed the presenter against the wall and threatened to headbutt her. When she freed herself and ran outside to get her cell phone and call the police, the businessman allegedly closed a sliding door with force, trapping the woman’s left arm, which was injured.
When police arrived at the couple’s home, Correa had already left. Ana went alone to Santa Casa de Itu, where she was treated and released. Afterwards, she was escorted by the police to the city’s central police station, where she registered the police report. She did not request a protective measure.
Earlier, the presenter released a note on the matter. Hickmann thanked fans for their concern, who have flooded social media with messages since the news went viral, after being discovered by the local press. According to her press office, she “is at home, well and fortunately did not suffer any major consequences to her physical integrity.”
Wanted by F5, Alexandre Correa did not respond to interview requests to comment on the fact. Speaking to the Léo Dias portal, the businessman classified the news as “fantasy”. “Where are you getting this from? Look, there must be some mistake there, I don’t think they must be dealing with the same person,” he said.
