For new undemocratic morals and arrogant attitudes, blames him Stefanos Kasselakis The Yannis Dragasakis in his Facebook post.

“A few days ago I formally addressed to the president of SYRIZA-PS a letter with specific proposals for a unifying way out of the party’s crisis. Stefanos Kasselakis chose never to respond to my letter,” he emphasizes.

“Stefanos Kasselakis was formally elected democratically, but is essentially anti-democratic. “His speech to the Central Committee is an insult not only to the members of SYRIZA but to every democratic citizen, as he seems to ignore basic principles of democracy and legal culture,” notes Mr. Dragasakis.

The Dragasakis statement in detail

“A few days ago I addressed, institutionally, to the president of SYRIZA-PS a letter with specific proposals for a unifying way out of the party’s crisis. Stefanos Kasselakis chose never to reply to my letter. Nor did it reach, institutionally, the members of the Political Secretariat & Central Committee, as I had requested from the party secretariat. These are new undemocratic morals & arrogant attitudes that make me believe that the new president has made his choices & they are deeply divisive & traumatic. Stefanos Kasselakis was formally elected democratically, but he behaves essentially anti-democratically. His speech to the Central Committee is an insult not only to SYRIZA members but to every democratic citizen, as he seems to ignore basic principles of democracy & legal culture. My departure from the EC meeting, along with many other members, was an imperative act of dignity. I don’t know how much room there is still for SYRIZA-PS to remain a party of the Left. However, what became clear these two days is that the “new hope” that society and the country are anxiously looking for can only be reborn through the regrouping & reconstitution of the wider left & progressive space. In the phase we are in, this requires self-initiative, collective initiatives & coordinated actions inside and outside SYRIZA and especially within society”.
