Comedian Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega, 87, was admitted this Tuesday (14) to the Albert Einstein hospital, in São Paulo. The presenter of the program A Praça é Nossa, on SBT, suffered a domestic accident at his country house.
The information was confirmed in a note by the broadcaster for the F5. “The information we have is that he fell at his country house. He is undergoing several tests at the Albert Einstein Hospital, but he is much better and in his room”, says the SBT note.
Carlos Alberto has cracked ribs and hit his head hard, which caused a huge scare for his family. There is no forecast for an increase yet. “He will be hospitalized for a while longer for observation,” stated the broadcaster.
Due to the health problem, the recordings of the comedian who runs and writes for Silvio Santos’ station are suspended, with no set time for them to return. The Albert Einstein hospital is expected to issue a statement in the next few hours.
Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega has been at SBT since 1987, running the comedy program that is one of the network’s biggest audiences, airing on Thursday nights.
In recent years, his health problems have worsened and the comedian has been hospitalized for various reasons, from Covid-19 to other illnesses.
