We record what we want to see, what was suggested to us or what we saw, and we encourage you to enjoy the magic of the theater against the small screen of our mobile…
Boots, jeans with long-sleeved shirts and light pashminas. The first “jackets to get” from those who love us. The first hot chocolates, the first soups.
Also, the sun may make a few appearances and offer us its favors, but the evening chill and the first rains indicate the start of another season. The theater season started with an optimistic look and the first small masterpieces make their appearance or… their reappearance.
Declared “Koutlitsa”, the writer, I couldn’t help but start the season looking for what fantastic Giorgos Koutlis has prepared for his loyal audience this year.
At the Kivotos Theater (again) we see him “Man from Padolsk”because of course you see this creator’s shows at least twice.
So we look forward to him too “Ugly”whose presentation took place a few days ago, arrived on November 10 at the New Theater of Katerina Vasilakou and is already sold out.
In another theater neighborhood, the great success of Yiannis Kakleos continues “The Accidental Death of an Anarchist” with Panos Vlachos in the central role, a project that if you haven’t heard anything about, you must have been on a long journey for at least two years. Hurry to the Gloria Theater while there is still hope for tickets!

The ‘DA’, by Hugh Leonard directed by Petros Zoulias, is staged at the ILISSIA Theater for the second year after the success of the previous theater season. At the official premiere a few days ago, the unique Grigoris Valtinos reminded us why he is considered one of the most charming of his generation while he interprets the titular and lead role with characteristic sensitivity. With him are Michalis Oikonomou, Giorgos Souxes, Nektaria Giannoudakis, Konstantina Klapsinou, Lampros Constanteas and Vassilis Papadimitriou. In the role of the mother, Tamila Kuliyeva.

Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s “Little Marital Crimes”. directed by Sotiris Tsafoulias came to the Mikro Anesis theater to raise questions of love and is included in our list without a second thought. Natalia Tsalikis and Aris Lebesopoulos star and wonder: Do we love a person for who he is? Do we often stop loving him because he remains what he is? Is the pain of love inevitable? The project is up until mid-January and is a confession, mainly, to ourselves.
“THE LAST MOONS” directed by Reina Eskenazi at the Coronet Theater are a hymn to life and youth. What can Bach have to do with Donald Duck and Goethe to the Brothers Karamazov? Seemingly none. However, in Furio Bordon’s award-winning play “The Last Moons”, everything is harmoniously connected in the face of the hero-protagonist, who makes a deep introspection in the twilight of his life. In the leading role we meet Stefanos Kyriakidis, flanked by Maria Papafotiou and Dimitris Liakopoulos.

“Harley’s jacket is fine again” by Vassilis Katsikonouris gives us the opportunity to see a completely different, mature Marianna Toumasatou. Directed by Alexandros Stavros, the show began its journey in Thessaloniki but ends at the Coronet Theater in Athens from December.
“The cleaning lady” by Antonis Tsipianitis with Antonis Papailia directed by Alexandros Liakopoulos is the comedy proposal of the season. Can life’s NO become YES if you believe it? Is it ever too late to get what you dream of? The delightful comic monologue is presented at the Coronet Theatre. The text with the unique meanings about the life of a woman, who has not yet been able to live as she really wanted, comes alive again on stage and promises bittersweet emotions.

“Dead Poets Society” by Tom Shulman directed by the excellent Konstantinos Aspiotis was the talk of the town last year. The legendary play is staged again at the Bretania theater in a theatrical adaptation by the “Oscar-winning” author himself. Akis Sakellariou plays John Keating, the unconventional professor we all wish we had. Tasos Chalkias plays the role of the conservative director Nolan and Spyros Tsekouras that of the tragic father Mr. Perry. With them – most importantly – the students, the core of the work which is made up of an elite troupe of talented actors of the new generation.
“We don’t read or write poetry to appear eccentric! We read and write poetry because we belong to the human race, and the human race overflows with passion! Medicine, law, business administration – yes, these are respectable professions, necessary for life to continue… But poetry, romance, beauty, love! – these are what keep us alive”!
Is theater one of the reasons that still keeps us optimistic in this strange and often ugly world? Is. Let’s go, don’t get lost…
