Prince Harry knows how important it is to devote time to mental health.
The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex talked about how he takes care of himself at a BetterUp online event, alongside Megan Markle’s girlfriend, Serena Williams.
“Taking care of myself is the first thing that comes second. “I’m happy to admit it – as a husband, as a dad,” said Harry, who welcomed his second child, his daughter Lilibet Diana, last summer with his wife, Megan.
The father of two noted that he was trying to steal 30 to 45 minutes in the morning for himself.
“Okay, one of the kids is going to school. The other takes a nap. “There is a break in our schedule,” he said. “So I spend some time either for training, or a walk with the dog, walking in nature, maybe for meditation.”
Harry, who is a proponent of mental health, also spoke of “mental fitness.”
“Mental ability is top notch, it’s what you aim for. “The road to that can be really bumpy,” Harry said. “It’s called internal work for a reason. And I think that might discourage some people, “More work?” That’s right, but the external work becomes much easier when you start with the internal work and then everything starts to fall into place “.
