The reception of “United By Music” by fans on social media was not at all celebratory
Yesterday, Eurovision unveiled the slogan for the 2024 contest, which will take place in Malmo, Sweden. After a look back at the slogans of the last 20 years, comes the surprise: The new slogan will be United By Music.
However, the reception from the fans on social media was not festive at all.
First, instead of choosing a new slogan – as is usually done – this time the organizers chose last year’s mottoof 2023.
Second, they announced that the slogan it’s not going to change again and United By Music will be used in all future Eurovision competitions.

“United By Music” was created as a slogan for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 to demonstrate the unique partnership between the United Kingdom, Ukraine and the host city of Liverpool in the contest. Ultimately, it was chosen as the permanent slogan because it “reflects the power of music to bring people together around the world,” the EBU said in justifying its decision.
