Platonov, by Anton Chekhov at the Theater Elsewhere
“Platonov” by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov on the main stage of Topos Alou with Maximos Moumouris in the title role. A new dramaturgical treatment, completely based on the original will give the opportunity for a new ground-breaking performance that will not exceed 2 hours written and directed by Nikos Kamtsis. The garden of the ingloriously deceased general Voinichev will be set up on the scene of the Other Place and there all the faces will gather after a heavy Russian winter. The focus is on the charming and provocative provincial teacher Mikhail Vasilievich Platonov.

“Underground”, directed by Dusan Kovacevic at the Acropolis Theatre
The emblematic film “Underground” by Emir Kusturitsa, based on the original play “Spring in January” and the novel “Once upon a time was a country” by Dusan Kovacevic, is staged at the Acropolis Theater, adapted and directed by Nikita Milivojevic , starring Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Yiannis Tsortekis and Alexandra Aidini. “Underground” tells the epic story of two friends, Blaki and Marko, against the backdrop of political turmoil and war in the former Yugoslavia.

Mystery 151 “A Rave Down Below”: Art exhibition, performances and an all-night rave party in Elefsina
From November 18, 2023 to January 28, 2024, the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture presents the group exhibition “Mysterio 151 A Rave Down Below”, with the participation of established artists from Greece and abroad and a series of new productions, edited by Panos Giannikopoulos. “Mystery 151 A Rave Down Below” explores the political dynamics of the body in motion from the simultaneously geological and cultural underground. The narrative of the exhibition unfolds through the myths and history of the city of Eleusis and the Mysteries with dance as a means of culmination, ritual and method of approaching the concepts of death and loss.
