Thousands of artists have signed a letter from a collective calling itself “Musicians for Palestine” calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The petition signatories include, among others, the bands Pulp, Fontaines DC, Mogwai, musicians Brian Eno, Tom Morello, rappers Kid Cudi, Mykki Blanco and singers Kali Uchis and Kehlani.

“Today, we demand an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid to Gaza and an end to the siege” the letter states. “Tthe next day, our vision of a just and peaceful future for all must be our most urgent task. We urge all who share this vision to join us».
The letter is the latest call for a ceasefire by music artists. Dua Lipa, Michael Stipe, Caroline Polachek, Run the Jewels and many others have previously signed the open letter.
Redveil called for a ceasefire during his appearance at Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, while names of children killed in Gaza flashed on the giant screen behind him.
“We stand for life, love, justice and peace. We mourn with all in Palestine/Israel who have lost loved ones. We share their sorrow and pain” is pointed out in the letter.
