The news of the death of the great lyricist Marianina Kriezi spread sadness in Greece.

The news of her death was announced via a post on Facebook by the singer Eleni Dimou.

The 75-year-old lyricist passed away, leaving behind a great work.

He had written the songs of the legendary radio show and had translated / adapted various works with children’s content.

He had also collaborated with big names in Greek discography.

Some of the songs that bear her signature are the following: “The quiet nights” by Arleta, “A minute kiosks” by Stratos Dionysios, “I resign” by Dimitra Galani, “I have no time” by Michalis Hatzigiannis, “Life is woman “by Eleni Dimou.

He was born in Athens in 1947, grew up in Psychiko and comes from Hydra. She studied English Philology at the University of Athens without earning a degree, and Decorative – Scenography in the laboratories of the School of Fine Arts, where she completed her two-year studies.

In 1969 he went to Paris to study fabric design, returned to Greece, worked as a graphic designer and in the spring of 1977 began collaborating with the Third Program when Manos Hadjidakis was the director. There he wrote the lyrics of all the songs of the radio show Edo Lillipoupoli while he also participated in the texts, especially as a writing duo with the actress Anna Panagiotopoulou. He also collaborated, as a copywriter, in “Free Stage” inspections.

In her long career as a lyricist she collaborated, among others, with: Arleta, Eleni Dimou, Stratos Dionysiou, Margarita Zorbala, Savina Giannatou, Michalis Bazakas, Dimitra Galani, Vassilis Papakonstantinou, Michalis Chatzigiannetis with , Nikos Kypourgos, Dimitris Maragopoulos, Nikos Christodoulou, Lakis Papadopoulos, Giannis Spanos, Dimitra Galani, Michalis Kapoulas, Efstathia, Takis Mousafiris, Dionysis Tsaknis and others.

As a producer at ERA, he presented various shows, such as the animal-friendly “Mou to’pe ena poulaki”, the nightly “To nychtiko tou pyrgou” and the show “Tomorrow everything will be better”.
