The Boys universe welcomes “surprise” its second spinoff series titled “The Boys: Mexico”written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, according to Deadline.

Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal will executive produce, and are set to appear in the new series in smaller roles, sources told Deadline.

Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson, the new production from Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television will be in Spanish and will be shot in Mexico City. Exact details about the script are currently being kept under wraps.

It is noted that “The Boys” is one of Amazon’s most popular series. Since its premiere in 2019, it has always been in the highest positions in the Nielsen chart and has received eight Emmy nominations to date.

The main series is entering its fourth season after two spinoffs that have been released in the past two years. “The Boys Presents: Diabolical” in 2022 and “Gen V” which premiered on September 29 and has already been renewed for a second season.
