The Nobel Prize ceremony, which took place at the Stockholm Concert Hall, was full of glitter. It is noted that the iconic prizes have been awarded, since 1901, to their winners in a special ceremony held on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death.

The ceremony was attended by Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia with the ladies stealing impressions with their creations, the jewels of diamonds and other precious stones and their distinctive tiaras.

After the award, a formal dinner was held at Stockholm City Hall for the laureates, the Nobel Foundation and the Royal Family of Sweden.

According to the Daily Mail, the king sat with physics laureate Anne L’Huillier, while Princess Victoria sat between the famous chemist Moungi Bawendi and the leading physicist Pierre Agostini.
