Pop star Olly Alexander will represent the UK in her singing competition Eurovision in 2024 in Sweden. The former Years and Years captain is hoping to improve on the UK’s disappointing performance this year, with Mae Muller occupying the penultimate spot.

Olli Alexander is already known across Europe for the hits ‘Desire’, ‘King’ and ‘If You’re Over Me’.

He was also nominated for an acting BAFTA for his performance in the lead role in the Channel 4 Aids drama ‘It’s A Sin’.

The star’s involvement was revealed during the final of BBC1’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ competition show.
