Raiven, singer and harpist known for fusing pop with alternative style and opera will represent Slovenia in her song contest Eurovision in 2024.

Sarah Briskey Chairman, as is her real name it was selected by an international panel of judges hired by the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija. A jury previously selected five contestants from more than 100 applications.

Raiven was the only contestant to win votes from all the international judges.

When teenagers Joker Out finished 21st in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and gained international success in Europe, the broadcaster decided that the new representative should not only have a good song but also “a clear vision and charisma and all the other attributes that will bring results that resonate beyond Eurovision” said Masa Kliun, head of the Slovenian delegation at Eurovision.

A pop festival performer in Slovenia, Raiven is known for her dark, ambient songs that combine pop, electro pop and opera. He has two master’s degrees in solo singing and opera from the Music Academy in Ljubljana.
