BBB 22: Gustavo is proud to be straight, but judges stereotypes: ‘Lacrolândia’

by

Gustavo Marsengo, 31, was confirmed for the Casa de Vidro of Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo) which premieres this Friday (11). The native of Paraná, born in the capital, Curitiba (PR), will have to be accepted and voted on by the public to enter the race. The result is scheduled for Sunday (13), before the formation of the wall.

Graduated in Law, Gustavo needed to reinvent himself during the Covid-19 pandemic. With unemployment, he began to invest in the gastronomy sector and today he owns a restaurant specializing in pork.

Gustavo worked for eight years at the Paraná State Court of Justice and was also a model as a teenager. At almost two meters tall, he has flirted with the sport and played volleyball for many years, until he was injured. He even has a brother who plays professionally as a libero for the Goiás volleyball team.

Single, Gustavo only had three girlfriends throughout his life and he didn’t date more than two years. He says his focus is on playing and winning the R$ 1.5 million prize, so he doesn’t look for anyone from the house, but he is also open and available to live “small passions”. “Today my focus is not to find a person to marry, because I don’t have my life prepared for that”.

One of Gustavo’s certainties is that he will be canceled by “two thirds of the Brazilian population”. Not afraid to say what he weighs, he has a reputation as a “justiceiro” and intends to redefine the straight top expression “today painted by ‘lacrolandia’ as a successful, white person”. (…) “And I’m proud to be straight top in my concept. Gee, I’m straight and I consider myself top”, he said in his presentation vignette.

“I have been misunderstood several times. I am a guy who has very strong opinions, I can’t keep quiet when someone says something that bothers me. I make a point of replying, of generating a debate, of opening up new points of view”, he says.

The gastronomic entrepreneur also guarantees that he does not want to be seen only as a “pretty little face”, but admits that his self-esteem is up to date. “I’m not here to be the BBB’s sex symbol (…) Until I was 15, I was an ugly duckling. I wasn’t very successful with girls. Without false modesty, today I consider myself a handsome man.”

According to him, there are great chances of losing patience and fighting over the division of food in the house. “If they make me hungry, it’s going to be a problem,” he says.

Among the things he loves most are; Carnival, Palmeiras, the beach, her two pet dogs and her mother’s beef stroganoff. Gustavo dreams of winning the BBB 22 and one of his motivations is because a man hasn’t won for a long time.

HOW WILL THE GLASS HOUSE WORK

The Glass House will be set up where the in-house gym is located, and participants will not be able to see and hear what is happening outside. Voting for Gustavo and Larissa’s entry (or not) will take place until Sunday, and you won’t be able to vote for just one of the two.

If the duo enters, the new entrants will be immune and together they will have to cast an open vote. It’s not a nomination, it’s more of a house vote.
