Actress Claudia Alencar, 73, improved this Thursday (28), but still needs continuous care. That’s what the new medical report says about her health.

Even with some improvement, the artist still needs “continuous surveillance, due to the severity of the infection”, says the note from the São Vicente hospital, located in Gávea, a neighborhood in the south of Rio de Janeiro.

“Claudia Alencar remains hemodynamically stable and without ventilatory support”, completes the bulletin signed by doctors Sérgio Gurgel Fernandes and André Caetano Barbosa Campos.

Claudia Alencar was extubated last Tuesday (26). Due to a bacterial infection, the actress has been admitted to the Intensive Treatment Unit (ICU) at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro, since the 17th.

The actress was diagnosed with septicemia, which is a widespread infection that leads to a drop in blood pressure, an increase in heart rate and the need for mechanical ventilation. The condition is possibly the result of spinal surgery performed a month ago.

Claudia Alencar has been away from television since 2017, when she briefly participated in the Globo soap opera “Rock Story”. She is expected to return to the media in “Beleza Fatal”, the first soap opera produced by HBO Max.
