Things in the life of Natália Deodato, 22, from the city of Sabará (MG), from Minas Gerais, have always been very precocious, whether it’s her first job, her initial dreams and even her marriage. Since childhood, the participant of Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo) knew that she would have to do everything she could to give her mother, Daniela, 37, who gave birth to her at 15, a better life.
“At the age of eight, she went to sell candy to help her family. Then, at nine, she developed vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that made her suffer a lot of bullying at school. She always wanted to be very independent and, even though she was upset with what people said about her skin, decided to try to be a model with vitiligo”, says Daniela about her daughter, now a model and nail designer.
At that time, around the age of 15, he began a very painful treatment to try to get rid of the disease, but then he decided to abandon it and assume this condition. She was already starting to do the first events and promote parties. It was then that she met a boy who, at the time, seemed to be the love of her life. She got married when she was 16, but the marriage only lasted until she was 18.
The desire to get married and to be happy lovingly continues in Natalia, who today declares herself to be a more open and decisive woman about passions, crushes and relationships without much commitment. At BBB, after trying to get close to Lucas and Rodrigo, both unsuccessful, she approached Eliezer, with kisses and warm weather, as well as a triple kiss with him and Maria.
Daniela says that if the girl finds a person who loves and respects her the way she is, she can put aside flirting and stay with a new love forever.
Natalia, however, must not give up her independence, says her mother, who highlights this as one of her daughter’s great characteristics. “I was never able to afford a photo book for her and it was Natália who went after it. She had to overcome the obstacles of her skin to become a model”, says her mother.
Daniela says she believes that her daughter’s desire to help her comes from when Natalia was little. Her mother was only 15 years old, a baby daughter and without much financial means, when she had to leave for work, leaving her daughter with her grandmother. For her, that’s why Nat created responsibility early on.
“I went to work in a cafeteria from 5pm to 4am. Only later did I meet my current husband and started working with nails in a salon. We never had a stable life and that’s why she always wanted to help me”, reinforces Daniela, who only had the opportunity to complete high school. Now, she is studying nursing in college.
Nowadays, Daniela works as a waitress, in the morning, at a bank and, in the afternoon, she works in the salon. During the pandemic, Natalia joined her mother to help in the beauty business. But since childhood she already seemed to understand the subject.
“She already did nails at the age of nine, just by looking. Then she learned to mess with makeup, but she never settled in the salon like now in the pandemic in the last three years”, he says.
This discipline of not having bad time for work made Natália develop a certain leadership. “This quality came with maturity. My daughter knows how to coordinate, deal with people so that everyone likes her as she is”, she says. “If she gets a call from work for anything she goes, no matter what time of day,” she adds.
“She is a correct, perfectionist girl, what is right is right and wrong is wrong. She speaks to her face and is very authentic”, defends the doting mother, quite satisfied with the upbringing she gave her and with the golden chance that the daughter now has it in her hands.
POST-REALITY DREAMS
During her participation in Big Brother Brasil 22, Natalia has been quite intense. She has already been to two walls, won immunity, cried, fought, was jealous of Lucas with Slovenia with the right to throw an object at the wall, had an intimate video leaked on the internet and suffered rejection after trying to kiss Rodrigo.
In the face of all this, her mother, Daniela, takes stock of the girl in the game. “Proud to see her get where she is. Natália has overcome obstacles, managed to get up, has not given up and has been herself. Regarding alliances and coexistence, I see her still starting to adapt”, reflects Daniela.
At Casa, Natália, who had already registered four other times for the reality show, does not get along very well with Maria and Eslovênia, but her mother points out that this type of behavior is exclusive to the reality show and does not reflect her life. “Everyone out here always liked her, never had any relationship problems.”
In the maid’s opinion, Natalia’s biggest mistake would be her doubting her ability to win. “Only she can disrupt her own performance, get out of focus. In the Walls, she has already given about ten heart attacks in the family. Heart is already stronger now”, she analyzes.
Outside of the program, the idea is for Natália to study acting and fulfill her big dream: to be an actress. Her mother hopes that the exposure on national television will give her a chance at Globo. “She is talented, empowered, has no fear and goes for it. When she entered the game it wasn’t just to be famous, she wants to earn money and change our lives. Let’s hope everything works out”, she concludes.
