BBB 24: Lucas Henrique Ferreira, capoeirista, is confirmed in the reality show

Lucas Henrique Ferreira, the Buddha, is another brother from the 24th edition of Big Brother Brasil. The Physical Education master entered the reality show after being chosen as the attraction’s “puxadinho” by voting for the first 18 residents of the house.

A resident of Bonsucesso, north of Rio, he is a child of Complexo da Maré, the youngest of five brothers. His mother, Fátima, was from Ceará and worked as a general services assistant. She died in 2016 and, in 2022, Lucas got a tattoo in her honor with a song by Emicida, of whom he is a fan. “I admire the way he transforms pain into poetry.”

Marielle Franco is another inspiration for Lucas, who directed an episode about the councilor murdered almost six years ago in a series of short videos for children about black characters with a history of fighting racism. “I chose Marielle because of her story of fighting for Maré. I was born there and my two jobs are there. I know the whole of Maré and I know about the daily struggle of the residents. I’m passionate about the community.”

Twice, he began to enroll in the program, but did not complete the stage. This is the first time she has completed the application and it was successful. With the BBB 24 award, he intends to help his family and pay off his home loan. Lucas is married to fellow teacher Camilla and they are parents to two stray dogs: Iúna and Dendê.

Vascaíno, he supports Mangueira and one of his dreams is to parade in Marques de Sapucaí. What she likes most about her body is her hair, because it is her identity, and if she were to change something, she would change her big toe. “I don’t like it. I think it’s really weird”, observes Lucas, who considers himself an extroverted and easy-going person. “I’m very much a fifth grader,” he says.
