Her epic Gucci family has not yet been completed.
A few months after the release of Ridley Scott’s movie “House of Gucci”, a TV drama series and a documentary about the family of the legendary Italian fashion house are in the works by Sky Studios.
Both projects were submitted a year ago to the company by Marco Bellardi of the Leone Film Group, who has reached an agreement with various family members. Gucci, Alessandro Gucci J. and Giorgio Gucci, who will be the executive producer of the documentary series.
According to Variety, the TV series is in the early stages of development and the documentary series is in the pre-production process. Both series will tell “the story of a great family and a big brand,” said producer Niels Hartmann, senior vice president of Sky Studios for Germany and Italy.
The movie “House of Gucci” presented a story of ambition and revenge that ended in a cold-blooded murder.
The two new series are expected to tell the other side of the story, that of the family, which focuses on its successes and honors the legacy of the house it created.
The documentary will be the basis for the planned TV series, and Sky Studios is in talks to work with David Flynn’s Los Angeles-based production company Wiip.
