Therefore, his position in history of architecture is key and critical,” the Minister of Culture emphasized, among other things, for the Palace of Philip II in Aiges, which was recently inaugurated and opened to the public.

The restoration project was on budget 20,300,000 euro.

Together with the museum of the tombs, that is the Tomb which covers the tomb of Philip and Alexander IV, with the park of the Temenides, which we rendered in 2021, that is, the burial cluster, with, mainly, the building of the Museum, which, inaugurated by the prime minister in December 2022, now the palace is being added, creating a very important and powerful cultural pole for the region of Aiga, obviously for the wider region of Imathia and, ultimately, for Northern Greece”, noted the L. Mendoni.

To a question about the point of view of the lady Arveler, that Alexander the Great was finally buried in Vergina, the minister pointed out that “Ms. Arveler is not an accidental scientist. He is a very strong personality. He’s got arguments which, of late, he has strongly publicized and I believe will be part of the scientific dialogue”.
