The “Blinding Lightshis Weeknd broke each record as it became the first song to break the limit of 4 billion streams on Spotifysurpassing Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” as the music streaming service’s all-time streamer.
“Blinding Lights” is also one of two Weeknd songs in the top 10: 2016’s “Starboy” is at No. 6, with nearly 2.5 billion streams.
O Weeknd is also the #1 artist on Spotify with 113.5 million monthly listeners.
The … spacey Weeknd surpassed even the “phenomenon” Taylor Swift as the singer with the most streams on Spotify in 2023 and 107.7 million listeners per month.
In a statement, the Canadian superstar (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) said that he is grateful that this song makes people feel like listening to it again.
