Movie screening “Invitation to Lunch by a Would-be Assassin” in the Hellenic American Union
The Hellenic American Union in collaboration with Mooviereel are launching their new film event “HAU Movie Club” and are kicking off with Robert Moore’s masterful classic American mystery comedy, “Murder By Death”.
Moore’s hilarious comedy, written by the well-known award-winning writer Neil Simon, is a parody of mystery movies and books with roles based on famous detectives of detective fiction, such as: Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Charlie Chan, Nick and Nora Charles and Sam Spade.
Neil Simon has written, among others, the plays “Barefoot in the Park”, “The Odd Couple”, “Suite for Two” (Plaza Suite), which were transferred with great success to movie screen.
The film stars an all-star cast including Academy Award winners Maggie Smith, Alec Guinness, David Niven, Academy Award nominees Peter Sellers, Peter Falk, Eileen Brennan and a cameo appearance by Truman Capote.
