The Swedish director David F. Sandberg, who in recent years has dealt with the world of superheroes, returns to the field of horror.

In particular, he made a deal to create a new movie based on the famous horror game “Until Dawn”with Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions.

The screenwriter of ‘It’, ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Nun’Gary Dauberman, will edit the screenplay already written by Blair Butler as well as part of the production through Coin Operated.

“Until Dawn”, which was first released in 2015, attracted many fans of horror games and received several nominations for video game awards.

“As our partnership with Sony Pictures continues to grow, we are excited to work on our first film with Screen Gems. ‘Until Dawn’ is one of our most beloved games and we can’t wait to bring it to the big screen.”said the head of PlayStation Productions, Asad Chizilbas.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Screen Gems’ Dan Primozic negotiated the deal, with Ashley Brucks and Michael Bitar overseeing the ambitious production.
