A tonsillitis almost cost the life of the 32-year-old star
‘Emily in Paris’ star Ashley Park has revealed she suffered ‘critical septic shock’ while holidaying in the Maldives with co-star and boyfriend Paul Forman over the New Year’s holiday.
On Instagram, she uploaded photos and videos, from the beginning of her hospitalization until her recovery.
“While I was on vacation in December until New Year’s, what started as tonsillitis progressed to critical septic shockcontaminating quite a few of my organs,” he wrote in the caption, adding, “I’m grateful that my health has improved despite what we were originally told.”
“You calmed my fears and kept me in ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, countless tests and injections, excruciating pain…” she wrote of Forman.
Park, 32, who was on holiday in the Maldives, said she was “deeply grateful” to every ICU nurse and doctor who worked “tirelessly” to help her as well as the Joali Being resort who “responded immediately and stayed with me for to provide me with language translations and vital support.”
Park admitted she was hesitant to share her story because she is still in “recovery” but learned she was spared the worst and decided to share her ordeal with her health.
