Sakis Arseniou
He is 34 years old and was born in Thessaloniki. In 2007 he moved to Athens to pursue his dream of singing and he succeeded after the last 15 years marking one great success after another. He declares that he is in love with “SURVIVOR” and is determined to do everything so that his team does not go hungry. He does not know if he will be able to control his “explosive” character, the only sure thing, he says, is that he will be able to psychologize the opponent as much as anyone else. Hunger scares him. But most of all, he is frightened by the thought that he will not talk to his family every day.
Takis Karagounias
Born in Aigio in July 1973, he served in the Navy (Frogman), one of the most difficult Special Forces units in the world. He still remembers the week when he had to stay wet, sleepless and with minimal food for whole days. There he learned to go beyond his limits in order to reach his goal.
Immediately after his retirement, he began working as a mercenary on merchant ships in various parts of the world, trying to prevent pirate attacks. In the Red Sea, where he stayed with his team for a month in a floating station, supplies ran out and they survived for 25 days with only a handful of rice and water. In Yemen he has eaten canned food for dogs to survive while he has been fasting for 3 days, only with water, in Somalia.
He was involved in boxing from a young age. He was crowned 7 times champion, while he was also a member of the national team, having won a European tournament.
He has also worked as a football referee. He was a candidate for the Super League, but was cut due to age in 2009. He has a brother who is a priest (Father Sotirios). The biggest “love” of his life is his daughter, Raphael. This is the reason why he comes to “SURVIVOR”.
George Talanchev
He was born in 1993 in Moscow. However, he grew up in Greece, as his family moved to Athens when he was just 3 years old.
He has studied International Tourism & Hospitality Management and works as a manager in luxury hotels. At the same time, he is a presenter of major events. He knows better than anyone how to dance his opponents in the pan in “SURVIVOR”, since for many years he was a professional Latin dancer, doing exhausting training and gymnastics for at least 6 hours every day.
He served in the Special Forces of Cyprus, which, as he says, was for him his… general rehearsal for “SURVIVOR”. He stayed on a mountain, under extremely adverse conditions where 25 people had to survive with a total of 5 cookies and 2 cans for a week.
He states that he is unimaginably competitive, he enters “SURVIVOR” “read” and the only thing that worries him is that at the age of 28 he has not yet learned to manage his defeats. He thinks that the boxing he has been involved in in the past will be extremely useful to him on the battlefields and he enters “Survivor” with a single goal: To win it!
Katia Tarabanco
She is 25 years old, she was born in Mariupol, Ukraine, but for the last 19 years she has been living – together with her family – in Athens.
She has been working professionally with modeling since the age of 16, having made important collaborations in Greece and abroad. She has also taken her first steps in the field of acting.
In her free time she is involved in tennis, horseback riding, shooting, skiing and wakeboarding. She declares herself a “close friend” only with herself, however she is ready to give everything to the battlefields of “SURVIVOR” so that her team will never be hungry. She is won over by the kindness of the people, but she is outraged by the mockery and all kinds of ridicule.
The most difficult moment of her life was when last year she was forced to leave “SURVIVOR” voluntarily, due to a health problem. This is the reason why he returns “to the crime scene”. Its purpose is to close the circle that has opened and to be crowned – albeit with a slight delay – the winner of the most difficult survival reality in the world.
FIGHTERS
Angelos Poulis
He is 38 years old, he was born in Athens but for the last 6 years he has been living in Los Angeles. He has studied Music Technology and Sound Recording. He has been working professionally in parkour for 14 years, so the obstacles on the battlefields of “SURVIVOR” will be for him a simple… training, as he says. Since no action movies are made in Greece, he moved to the USA. to pursue his dream and combine acting with parkour. He has managed to “open some doors” for him, however he has not yet done everything he would like and is dreaming.
His most important professional achievement was when he starred in an ad, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. He has not camped in his life, so the living conditions on the beach will be more than unprecedented for him. He has learned to function as a unit and not within a group. He can not stand living with narcissistic people and those who love “backstabbing” knives. “SURVIVOR” is for him the opportunity he is looking for to establish himself in Hollywood. He believes that if he wins, he will help him in the international career, which he always wanted to do.
