Addressing themes of morality, narcissism and excess, The Picture of Dorian Gray tells the story of a young man who sells his soul in exchange for eternal youth and beauty.

Snook said the play’s themes also touch on how one’s beauty can affect those around them and how power can be abused.

“It extends beyond youth and beauty. What does one do with the unlimited power that one acquires through youth and beauty?” the actress wondered. “And if there are no checks and balances on a person and everyone around that one person wants to own and control that one person, to have a glimpse of that youth and beauty, what can the person who possesses that do to them youth and beauty?’

The actress recently made headlines when she revealed that a film producer once told her not to eat a piece of chocolate cake early in her career.

Recalling the meeting, Snook said: “I’ll eat what I want, it’s my body, my choices”. The actress said she was too young and naive to react back then.

The actress recently earned both one Emmy as well as a Golden Globe for her performance in the series ‘Succession’, which ended after its fourth season last year.
