On Saturday, January 27, Dimitris Skarmoutsos and “Neighborhoods on a Plate” travel for the first time to beautiful Thessaloniki. From the outskirts of the Upper Town to the beach and from Lefko Pyrgos to Kalamaria, the city’s culinary landscape is inexhaustible. In the first part of the special, the show takes a walk through various neighborhoods exploring classic and new haunts.

“Akti Deauville” is Thessaloniki’s favorite restaurant, with an unobstructed view of the sea, it allows you to relax and indulge in the culinary richness of its menu.

“Helios” is one of the oldest pastry shops in the city whose history begins with the grandfather and today it is in the hands of the third generation which has kept the character and the menu intact with minimal additions.

“Salento” appeared in recent years and has made a sensation with its simplicity and taste. Sandwiches and pizzas made from aged dough that is baked on site in the wood-fired oven and then filled with the best ingredients.

“Olympos Naoussa” is a restaurant whose reputation went beyond the borders of Thessaloniki and Greece in the 60s and with a menu in the hands of the experienced chef Dimitris Tassiolas, it continues the great legacy with new iconic flavors.

The “bride of Thermaikos” inspires and Dimitris Skarmoutsos, returning to the studio, prepares a mosaic with hazelnuts and cookies and spicy chicken with yogurt and spinach.
